Die Stadt Kamenz beabsichtigt am Standort Fichtestraße 17 die Errichtung eines Ersatzneubaus einer Kita mit insgesamt 130 Plätzen (90 Kindergarten – und 40 Krippenplätze). Hier ist das Bestandsgebäude zunächst fachgerecht abzubrechen und zu entsorgen. Der Neubau mit den zugehörigen Freianlagen der zukünftigen Kita kann neben dem Flurstück 2438 nach Erfordernis auch Teilbereiche der Flurstücke 2439
und 2437 in Anspruch nehmen. Alle Grundstücke befinden sich im Eigentum der Stadt Kamenz.
