Concours d'architecture pour l'aménagement paysager et artistique du pont Boieldieu à Rouen

Metropole Rouen Normandie awarded an architectural and landscape design competition for the artistic transformation of Pont Boieldieu in Rouen, part of the second phase of the Coeur de Métropole project. The winning team, Groupement NU ARCHITECTURE / NU INGENIERIE / URBICUS / ECR / TADASHI KAWAMATA, was selected on 24 September 2025 to deliver a comprehensive scope including design phases (AVP through DET), site supervision, coordination, and complementary services such as greenhouse gas assessment and maintenance cost analysis. The project encompasses the bridge and its two monumental stone staircases, plus the adjacent right-bank intersection, aiming to create an emblematic civic space with high-quality visual rendering and vegetative aesthetics that evoke nature in the urban environment.
