Der Rangierbahnhof Basel liegt in Muttenz und der Agglomeration Basel. Dieser ist eine wichtige Drehscheibe für den Nord-/Süd Verkehr. Im Zuge der NEAT soll die Kapazität im Rangierbahnhof erhöht und hierzu zusätzliche Betriebsgleise von 750 Metern Länge gebaut werden.
Die Arbeiten müssen unter Berücksichtigung der betrieblichen und Sicherheitsaspekte termingerecht und in geforderter Qualität ausgeführt werden.
