Overview
The Brandenburg Ministry for Agriculture, Food, Environment and Consumer Protection, together with Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia, procured the development and migration of the LEFIS land management application from its current ArcMap-based platform (LEFIS 1.0) to VertiGIS Land Management (LEFIS 2.0). VertiGIS GmbH was awarded the contract for €2,452,142 on 13 July 2026 to ensure continued operation of land consolidation and soil management procedures while meeting modern security and compliance standards. The new solution maintains functional equivalence with the existing system, preserves all data and interfaces, and replaces the aging ArcMap platform before its end-of-life date in February 2028.
