Ersatzneubau der Schleuse Erlangen

The Wasserstraßen-Neubauamt Aschaffenburg awarded a contract for the replacement construction of the Erlangen lock on the Main-Donau-Kanal, involving construction of a new lock chamber with upper and lower approaches, three storage basin levels, inlet and outlet structures, canal connections, steel hydraulic engineering, machinery, technical building, and associated planning services. The project, estimated at €400 million and awarded at €390.9 million to a consortium led by Ed. Züblin AG, STRABAG AG, Züblin Spezialtiefbau GmbH, and BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH, will be constructed east of the existing lock while maintaining current operations, with the lock structure spanning approximately 330 meters and a total construction field of approximately 2,300 meters including canal connections.
