Das Vorhaben dient zur Erfassung aktueller Vorkommensdaten von Lebensraumtypen nach
Anhang I der Richtlinie 92/43/EWG des Rates zur Erhaltung der natürlichen Lebensräume
sowie der wildlebenden Tiere und Pflanzen (Fauna-Flora-Habitat-Richtlinie, kurz FFH-RL)
sowie gesetzlich geschützter Biotope.
Die Daten bilden die Grundlage für die turnusgemäßen Berichtspflichten über die Erhaltungszustände
der Lebensraumtypen und zur Aktualisierung des Katasters geschützter Biotope im Land.
