Zoo Frankfurt - Serengeti

The City of Frankfurt commissioned a masterplan for the structural and content-based future development of Frankfurt Zoo, with the first phase focusing on creating the Serengeti zone in the southwest area of the zoo. This project involves planning services across seven lots (architectural design, structural engineering, fire safety, civil engineering, and technical systems) for constructing animal habitats, stables, and gastronomy facilities with an estimated construction cost of approximately 53 million euros net, with completion targeted for 2033. The contract was awarded on 4 May 2026 to a consortium of seven planning firms: IBL Ingenieurbüro Lueger, KOCKS Consult GmbH, Müller-BBM Building Solutions GmbH, Pantegra Ingenieure GmbH, dan pearlman Erlebnisarchitektur GmbH, shp GmbH, and wh-p GmbH Beratende Ingenieure.
