The Municipality of Sylt awarded planning services for technical building systems (heating, ventilation, sanitation) to puj ingenieure for the Nord Hugo-Köcke-Weg residential quarter development in Westerland/Sylt on 27 May 2026. The project involves designing approximately 280 residential units across approximately 37,726 m² using modular construction methods, with planning phases 1–9 initially required for the first construction phase and optional phases 8–9 for subsequent phases up to phase 5. The work encompasses heating system design with a central heating plant and district heating network, ventilation planning, and domestic hot water provision, with project costs estimated at approximately 8.4 million euros net.
