Forschungsprojekt - DZSF - Aufzeichnung sicherheitsrelevanter Szenarien für die ATO-Entwicklung

The German Federal Railway Authority (Eisenbahn-Bundesamt) commissioned CE cideon engineering GmbH & Co. KG to create an annotated multi-sensor dataset containing sequences of dangerous or risky scenarios in railway operations. The dataset, comprising camera, radar, and lidar recordings, is intended for research and development as well as testing of perception systems for automated train operation, and will subsequently be made available under open license; the project includes preparation of recordings, provision and configuration of vehicles, track and sensor systems, acquisition of sequences, and annotation of the resulting sensor data. The contract, valued at €1,164,850, was awarded on 5 June 2026 and is now complete.
