The City of Oldenburg awarded contracts for cafeteria operations at six primary schools and one gymnasium to three operators: Minze Küche und Catering, Rebional GmbH, and Zitronengras GmbH, with a total award value of 954,385.91 EUR as of 20 May 2026. The operators are responsible for full cafeteria management and meal provision Monday to Friday during school terms (Thursday to Friday at the gymnasium) and up to nine weeks during school holidays, serving meals prepared according to German nutritional standards with organic produce, sustainable seafood, and fair-trade coffee, tea, and bananas using cook-and-chill or mixed kitchen operations with self-service food islands.
