Es ist Teil der größeren, zusammenhängenden denkmalgeschützten Gesamtliegenschaft Friesenstraße 16 im Berliner Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Der Großteil der auf dem Areal befindlichen Gebäude wird von der Berliner Polizei genutzt.
