Levering, implementatie en onderhoud van een Laboratorium Informatiesysteem (LIMS) voor het DNA-laboratorium van Forensische Geneeskunde van UZ Leuven

UZ Leuven procured the supply, implementation, and maintenance of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for its forensic DNA laboratory, awarded to DORNER GmbH & Co. KG for €305,470 on 28 May 2026. The system supports the full workflow from sample receipt through analysis and reporting for forensic biological evidence examination and DNA kinship investigations, replacing existing MS Access databases and custom SQL server applications, with integration capabilities for laboratory equipment, hospital systems, and national DNA databases, and full chain-of-custody tracking in compliance with ISO 17025.
