Emschergenossenschaft has awarded a planning services contract to spiekermann ingenieure gmbh for €3,796,929 to design ecological improvements and expand flood retention along a 4 km section of the Emscher river between two retention basins in Dortmund. The scope includes development of a master concept and engineering planning for retention and flood storage facilities on approximately 30 hectares of Emschergenossenschaft-owned land, encompassing structural design, geotechnical assessments, and localized dike rehabilitation as needed.
