Umbau Steinstraße, Los 1, Straßenbau

The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg procured civil works to redesign Steinstraße, narrowing the roadway from four to two lanes to create space for tree-lined areas, green and flowering zones, and a new non-mandatory cycling path, while relocating bus stops eastward to reduce noise for residents. The scope includes bituminous road construction, removal and disposal of existing asphalt and paving, fabrication of new paved surfaces, installation of curbing and drainage infrastructure across approximately 8,800 m² of roadway. The contract was awarded on 5 June 2026 to Wela Asphalt- & Pflasterbau GmbH for €4,740,413.37.
