The City Municipality of Velenje procured the renovation of a district heating network (hot water pipeline) spanning approximately 5,799 meters across the municipalities of Velenje and Šoštanj, including reconstruction of insulation and supports on multiple pipeline sections. The contract, awarded on 6 May 2026 for €10,444,749.56 to a consortium of four companies (ANDREJC nizke gradnje, ESOTECH, METALLUM ZORMAN, and NIVIG), encompasses civil and mechanical works on eleven designated pipeline segments with technical specifications and project documentation provided by the buyer. The operation is co-financed by the Just Transition Fund.
