Erweiterung und energetische Sanierung der Ludwig-Reinhard-Schule mit Neubau einer 2-fach Schulsporthalle in 87600 Kaufbeuren

The City of Kaufbeuren awarded ViRus Bau GmbH a contract valued at €281,207.30 on 21 May 2026 for the expansion and energy renovation of the Ludwig-Reinhard-Schule special education facility in Kaufbeuren, including construction of a new double gymnasium. The project involves core renovation and westward expansion of the 1967 West building, renovation of the 1987 Southwest building, demolition of the 1967 Northwest building with small gymnasium and assembly hall (to be replaced by a new assembly hall), and construction of a freestanding double gymnasium on the southeastern part of the site, increasing the building volume from 18,535 m² to 37,634 m².
