Porthos heeft voor haar processen op het platform P-18A twee netwerkverbindingen nodig om P-18A te verbinden met P-15C (vanwege nog lopende gasproductie) en haar compressor station (voor CO2 opslag) op de Maasvlakte. De benodigde bandbreedte is 25Mbit/sec, uitbreidbaar naar 100MBit/sec. Elke verbinding dient een beschikbaarheid van minstens 99,7% te hebben.
