The Railway Reform Authority awarded a contract to SYSTRA and TTL PLANNING for 10.485 million RON to introduce frequent train services around major Romanian cities by developing an integrated approach to short, medium, and long-distance passenger transport. The scope includes updating the National Transport Model, collecting field traffic data, establishing public service obligations for 2027–2042, designing timetables for growth poles and major cities, and providing software licensing and staff training for transport planning and modeling tools.
