Gemeente Amsterdam has awarded a contract to Bike2Business B.V. for setting up and delivering an e-bike trial program for social renters in new affordable housing on Strandeiland, aimed at promoting sustainable mobility and behavioral change in an car-light neighborhood. The contract includes provision of free two-month e-bike trials with full support (insurance, repairs, accessories), behavioral guidance to encourage regular use, and affordable purchase options for participants after the trial period. The contractor is responsible for all aspects including recruitment, bike maintenance, monitoring, and reporting, with a total contract value of 1,000,000 EUR.
