REVG Rhein-Erft-Verkehrsgesellschaft awarded a framework contract to Axentia Technologies AB on 15 September 2025 for the supply, installation, and integration of energy-autonomous dynamic passenger information displays (e-Ink/e-paper) and a backend system to digitalize approximately 1,400 bus stops across the Rhein-Erft region in three construction phases. The project encompasses 500 to 1,500 stationary displays and up to 40 mobile displays, with the backend system required to hold IT security certification per DIN ISO 27001 or equivalent, and the buyer retaining the option to call off phases 2 and 3 within 36 months subject to funding approval.
