Methodological development and execution of an SSHAC (Level 1) ‑ aligned seismic hazard analysis by GEM - LEANDREA Project

SCK CEN awarded a contract to GEM (Global Earthquake Model Foundation) for methodological development and execution of an SSHAC Level 1-aligned seismic hazard analysis for the LEANDREA Project, valued at €290,000 and completed on 4 June 2026. The work involves developing and applying a global seismic hazard framework in close cooperation with the Royal Observatory of Belgium, integrating national and regional models, and executing hazard calculations according to SSHAC methodology. The contract was awarded via negotiated procedure without prior notification due to the technical exclusivity and indivisibility of GEM's proposed methodological solution.
