Overview

In line with the bottom-up approach that characterises the CBRN Centres of Excellence initiative, the East and Central African Regional Secretariat has designated "chemical waste management" as a focal area where regional collaboration and governance can be enhanced. The regional approach regarding chemical waste aims to increase capacity on management of chemical waste in all relevant sectors and development of a multidisciplinary culture in management of hazardous waste.
