Formålet med at etablere en udvidelse af vejnettet ved Bouet i det nordlige Nørresundby (vist på tegning A270310-TEG-0201_2.0.pdf) er at udvide trafikkapaciteten i området, så det kan rumme de forventede trafikmængder.
Der skal etableres et nyt industriområde med f.eks. butikker og lettere industri og den eksisterende Kvickly på sydsiden af vejen skal udvides kraftigt.
Den samlede projektbevilling er på 55 mio. kr.
