Overview
The market municipality Mering held a restricted design competition for the expansion and redesign of its town hall, comprising two alternative schemes: an extension of the existing building with redesign of the surrounding plaza area, or a replacement building with redesign of the adjacent church square and war memorial. The competition, which concluded on 27 April 2026, was won by Harris + Kurrle Architekten with Gänßle + Hehr Landschaftsarchitekten, with two further ranked entries and two honorable mentions selected.
