The Landesbetrieb für Hochwasserschutz und Wasserwirtschaft Sachsen-Anhalt awarded a contract to IHU Geologie und Analytik GmbH on 22 April 2026 for external monitoring of earthwork during the rehabilitation of approximately 2,200 meters of the Aland dike in the Aland lowlands north of Osterburg. The scope includes third-party supervision of ground and foundation work in accordance with ZTV-W 205 standards during the dike reconstruction, which involves widening the dike crown to 3.0 meters, adjusting slope gradients to 1:3, installing a defence pathway with concrete system paving, and creating a pressure relief slot. The contract was valued at €32,889.
