Magdeburg's city authority has awarded planning services for the design and construction phases (HOAI 2021 phases 1–8/9) of a new high-performance swimming hall for competitive, club, and school sports, featuring a 50-meter Olympic pool (10 lanes), ancillary facilities including a cold water pool, strength and ergometer rooms, and hyperbaric chamber, along with landscape planning, structural, MEP, and other specialist disciplines across multiple lots. The contract was awarded on 11 June 2026 to Bauconzept Planungsgesellschaft mbH and ITG Planungs- und Energieberatungs GmbH for a total value of €4,364,154.69.
