Overview
Der FRM II plant die Beschaffung eines Nano Indentation Devices (NID). Das NID soll für die mechanische Untersuchung von Materialien in einem FIB-SEM, wie z.B. für Nanohärtemessungen und Mikrostrukturanalysen, genutzt werden. Die Untersuchungen sollen sowohl bei Raumtemperatur, als auch bei Temperaturen bis 800 °C an diversen Proben zur Entwicklung dichter nuklearer Brennstoffe stattfinden.
