Helsinki City Education and Training Division has awarded a framework agreement for procurement of computer-controlled technical equipment, plastic processing machines, and electrical workstations for basic education. The procurement is divided into 10 categories (including exposure devices, vacuum formers, CNC mills, laser systems, 3D printers, and modular electrical workstations), with two suppliers selected per category (primary and backup) through a two-year framework running from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2028, extendable by up to two additional years. The award, valued at €20,000,000 and dated May 5, 2026, was divided among six suppliers: AIP Pikamallinnus Oy, Festo Oy, Rensi Finland Oy, Scantima Maskin Oy, Step Systems Oy, and one other.
