The Budapest Prison Institution (Fővárosi Büntetés-végrehajtási Intézet) has awarded a three-year healthcare services contract divided into five parts: primary healthcare and on-call services, diabetology specialist care, dermatology specialist care, ophthalmology specialist care, and nursing care, serving an average of 1,100 to 2,100 inmates depending on the service category. The contract, valued at 617,946,000 HUF and awarded on 28 May 2026, was won by four providers: A.I.M. Advanced Interdisciplinary Medicine Bt., EDVITA-131 Egészségszolgáltató Kft., Hungária Med-M Kft., and SZAT MED-INFO Kft. The buyer commits to drawing down 70% of the framework amount for each part, with no obligation for the remaining 30%.
