The Ionian Sea Port Authority awarded a framework agreement for engineering services related to four port infrastructure projects in Taranto, including a new east gate, repurposing of the former Torpedo Station, a sailing center, and a new financial police barracks. The contract, valued at approximately €10.9 million and awarded on 22 January 2025 to the RTI consortium (VIA Ingegneria, Cooprogetti, Sinar, and Sispi), covers design, safety coordination, construction supervision, and accessory services such as topographic surveys and environmental studies.
