Trafikverket awarded a contract to Norconsult Sverige AB, SWECO Sverige AB, and WSP Sverige AB for investigation and preparation of tender documents and construction drawings for targeted environmental measures in the northern region (Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland, and Västernorrland counties). The scope includes addressing landscape, natural environment, and cultural heritage deficiencies through actions such as cultural site restoration, wildlife fencing, replacement of road culverts with ecologically adapted fish passages, invasive species management, and avenue restoration, along with supporting documentation for land access and permitting under environmental and cultural heritage legislation.
