Overview
The City of Kuřim held an architectural competition for an urbanistic and architectural design of a new primary school in the Záhoří locality to accommodate 540 pupils from Kuřim and surrounding municipalities, including associated public spaces and gymnasium. The competition was awarded on 29 April 2026 to a consortium of seven winners: Brandenberger Kloter Architekten AG, Ing. arch. Sebastian Sticzay, MgA. Jakub Herza, MgA. Matyáš Kytka, MgA. Tereza Haumerová, Pelčák a partner architekti, s.r.o., UYO architekti s.r.o., and ČTYŘSTĚN s.r.o. The project responds to significant planned residential development in the Záhoří area.
