Das zu erstellende Gebäude wird nach Maßgabe des Zertifizierungssystems der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen (DGNB) gemäß dem Kriterienkatalog Gebäude Neubau 2018 und dem Nutzungsprofil Neubau Bildungsbauten (NBI) geplant und ausgeführt. Des Weiteren wird für das Gebäude eine QNG-Zertifizierung angestrebt.
