Durchführung eines nutzerverhaltensbedingten Energiesparprogramms für 51 Schulen in Potsdam

The City of Potsdam has awarded a contract to Unabhängiges Institut für Umweltfragen (UfU) e.V. on 25 August 2025 to implement and sustain a user-behaviour-based energy-saving programme across 51 schools in Potsdam, covering primary schools, secondary schools, grammar schools, special needs schools, and residential facilities. The programme aims to maintain and reduce current energy consumption levels through an activity-incentive system that rewards school participation rather than absolute energy savings, while minimizing administrative effort and costs. Energy monitoring of school buildings will continue to support the sustainability goals and potential spillover effects into private households.
