TRAVAUX D'INVESTIGATION SUR LES DECORS JAS DE BOUFFAN

The Municipality of Aix-en-Provence has awarded a contract to SINOPIA for investigative work on the painted decorations at the Jas de Bouffan estate, a historic monument undergoing restoration and redevelopment ahead of its June 2026 public opening. The scope includes stratigraphic sampling and investigation of painted surfaces and woodwork to identify potential Cézanne-period chromatic states and establish a relative chronology of the estate's decorative elements. The findings will inform the final restoration strategy and methodology for the bastide's various rooms and decorative features. The contract, valued at €17,540, was awarded on 26 February 2026.
