BULGARTRANSGAZ EAD procured rescue archaeological investigations on a registered site identified during construction activities along the Rupcha-Vetrino loop route for a natural gas capacity enhancement project. The National Archaeological Institute with Museum of BAS was awarded 244,452 EUR on 3 June 2026 to obtain permits, conduct field surveys, prepare archaeological documentation, and manage the acceptance of the completed investigations in accordance with Bulgarian cultural heritage legislation.
