Hansestadt Herford awarded contracts for operating open all-day school (OGS) programs and other childcare services across 11 primary schools for the school years 2026/27 through 2029/30, with an option to extend by one year. The scope includes meal provision and other care forms as required, covering all school days except flexible vacation days, and was split into 10 lots with a total value of €29,377,423 awarded to five operators: Deutsches Rotes Kreuz-Kreisverband Herford-Stadt e.V., Förderverein der Städtischen Grundschule Elverdissen e.V., Sport-Club Herford e.V., Verein zur Betreuung von Kindern an der Grundschule Altensenne e.V., and Zweckverband Volkshochschule im Kreis Herford.
