El objetivo es someter el trazado con la nueva información a evaluación de impacto ambiental, y así establecer una nueva línea ferroviaria entre Ourense y Vigo. El Estudio Informativo Complementario debe reproducir toda la información que sea necesaria para la definición de la actuación y para proceder con su tramitación ambiental y sectorial ferroviaria.
