De Vlaamse Waterweg nv has awarded a contract to DE BRANDT for collecting, removing, transporting and disposing of floating and washed-up wood, tree stumps and debris from the Zeeschelde and Rupel rivers, including work on water surfaces, dike slopes, controlled flood areas, marshes, and at locks, culverts, weirs, ferries and public landing places. The work can be performed from both water and shore, with the scope potentially extending to additional locations beyond those specified. The contract, valued at €350,940, was awarded on 7 July 2026 and is now complete.
