The Ministry of National Defence (Military Unit 01836) procured optional personal insurance services covering accidents, disasters, and related events for military personnel over a 24-month period, structured in two lots with coverage including death, disability grades I–III, combat-related illnesses with permanent effects, hospitalization and outpatient treatment expenses, medication costs, and repatriation expenses. Asigurarea Româneasca ASIROM VIENNA INSURANCE GROUP S.A. was awarded the framework agreement on 29 December 2025 for 24,024,000 RON, with Lot 1 covering 36,000–360,000 insurance days and Lot 2 covering 73,000–1,460,000 insurance days, with monthly call-offs.
