Mehrere vorhandenen Lärmschutzwände auf der Strecke 5503/5581 sind aufgrund ihrer Bauweise technisch abgängig, bzw. bedarf es bei einigen transparenten Elementen aufgrund fehlender Rückhaltesysteme einer Mängelbeseitigung. Diese sollen in gleichem Umfang durch neue Lärmschutzwände ersetzt werden.
Es ist ein Neubau in gleicher Lage, Länge und Höhe bzw. ein Austausch der betroffenen Elemente angedacht. Die Sperrpausen finden im Jahr 2026 statt und bestehen aus 260 nächtlichen Schichten.
