The Spanish Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Administrador de Infraestruturas Ferroviarias) awarded a contract worth €3.77 million on 21 May 2026 to a consortium comprising ASOCIACION DE ACCION FERROVIARIA CETREN, TÜV RHEINLAND RAIL CERTIFICATION BV IN SPAIN, and UTE SGS IR - RINA for CE verification of interoperability of infrastructure, energy, and control subsystems including ground command and signalling on conventional railway lines in the general design phase. The contract covers verification services across three lots under an open call framework, with an estimated total value of €7.55 million.
