Digitaler Knoten Stuttgart (DKS), Baustein 3 - Vergabepaket 1 Generalplaner

DB InfraGO AG awarded a general planning contract for Baustein 3 of the Digitaler Knoten Stuttgart (DKS) project on 2026-05-04, a pilot program to modernize rail control and safety technology across approximately 500 kilometers of track in the Stuttgart and Plochingen network districts. The scope includes planning and implementation of digital interlocking systems (DSTW), European Train Control System Level 2, and automatic train operation technology, along with phased introduction of future railway mobile communication systems and capacity management systems. This award marks the completion of the unsuccessful procurement process for this general planning package.
