Debreceni Egyetem established a dynamic procurement system (DBR) for healthcare consumables and medical supplies across 28 product categories, including anesthesia equipment, vascular supplies, sutures, infusion needles, blood gas analyzer consumables, wound dressings, cardiac supplies, orthopedic implants, laboratory materials, and sterilization products, with a planned budget of approximately 8 billion HUF over the system's duration. The procurement was awarded on 16 June 2026 to 27 suppliers including major medical companies such as Johnson & Johnson, B. Braun, Medtronic, Linde Gáz, and others, with individual call-offs to be conducted annually within each category based on the university hospital's patient care needs.
