The City of Regensburg procured deep excavation, earth moving, and utility infrastructure installation works for the first construction phase of the Prinz-Leopold-Kaserne innovation district, including construction of a low-temperature heating network with approximately 945 m of piping, removal of around 1,388 m² of paved surfaces, over 11,000 m³ of earthwork, installation of 680 m of cable conduit systems with shafts, and 2,690 m of electrical cables, plus drainage and water supply systems. The contract, valued at €2,074,690, was awarded to Josef Rädlinger Bauunternehmen GmbH on 7 May 2026 and is now complete.
