The Municipality of Sliven is procuring construction works to revitalize an existing velodrome in Sliven city, creating a multifunctional sports facility that includes renovation of a 250-meter Olympic-standard cycling track with modern surface materials, a new service building, new stands with 1,342 spectator seats, and additional sports amenities such as an athletics track, BMX park, mini-football pitch, and provisions for an ice rink, summer cinema, and lighting and sound systems. The project aims to establish a Category 3 velodrome per International Cycling Union standards and enhance the facility's viability through diverse sports and entertainment uses. The estimated value is approximately 7.1 million EUR, with a submission deadline of 18 August 2026.
