Die Gemeinde Worpswede plant die Errichtung eines Ersatzneubaus für das derzeitige Hallenbad. Der Ersatzneubau dient der Abdeckung des kommunalen Bedarfs für die Daseinsvorsorge für Schulen und Vereine sowie die Nutzung für alle Generationen.
Die Gemeinde Worpswede beabsichtigt die Realisierung mit einem nachhaltigen CO2-neutralen Energiekonzept. Der Errichtung des Ersatzneubaus erfolgt auf dem bisherigen Grundstück In de Wischen 11 in 27726 Worpswede.
Das Besucheraufkommen des bisherigen Bades wird mit ca. 50.000 bis 55.000 Personen pro Jahr angegeben.
