Die Schwarzwald-Baar Klinikum Villingen-Schwenningen GmbH (nachstehend SBK-VS) ist der stationäre Zentralversorger im Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis. Mit insgesamt rund 1.000 Betten an 2 Standorten (Villingen-Schwenningen und Donaueschingen) erfüllt das SBKVS die im Krankenhausplan Baden-Württemberg festgelegte Grund-, Regel- und Zentralversorgung für den Schwarzwald-Baar-Kreis sowie angrenzende Landkreise. Mit rund 3.300 Mitarbeitern ist die SBK-VS GmbH der größte Arbeitgeber im Landkreis und gehört mit den Schulen für Krankenpflege und Kinderkrankenpflege sowie den speziellen Weiterbildungsangeboten für Krankenpflegepersonal im Operationsdienst, in der Intensivpflege und in der Anästhesie zu den wichtigsten Ausbildungsbetrieben in der Region.
