Overview
At the Department of Biology at Maynooth University, Ireland, tenders are sought for the supply, delivery, installation, training and calibration of a compact Cell Tension System (Modular with adaptability to add compression in time). The system MUST be a computer-regulated dynamic bioreactor that uses positive and negative air pressure to apply cyclic or static mechanical strain to cells cultured on flexible-bottomed culture plates. The system MUST allow us to simulate in vivo tissue strains and frequencies in vitro that mimic in vivo conditions in cells. The system MUST apply a defined, controlled, static or cyclic deformation to cells growing in BOTH 2D monolayer or 3D cell culture.
