Pole Planting Framework

National Grid UK is establishing a framework for pole planting services across the East and West Midlands, South West England, and South Wales, with an anticipated 5-year initial term plus three optional 1-year extensions. The scope includes provision of plant, machinery, and operatives for excavating and installing wood poles; transportation and installation of electrical equipment; trenching and installation of earthing systems and service cables for low, high, and extra-high voltage networks; and provision of 24-hour emergency response services. The framework has an estimated annual spend of approximately £27 million, though volumes are not guaranteed, and all works must comply with National Grid policies and standard techniques.
